Black flame retardant heat-shrinkable tubing designed to withstand heat and mechanical abuse, while also providing chemical resistance protection to several types of fluids (water, various types of fuel (diesel included), hydraulic fluids, greases, lubricants, and cleaners). This tubing meets the material and functional requirements of AMS-DTM-23053/16, a military specification also shared by DR-25 and other motorsport wiring/cable protection products.

  • AMS-DTL-23053/16: a specification for diesel-resistant heat-shrink elastomer tubing used to protect wires, solder joints, terminals, connections, and components from industrial fuels, abrasion, and mechanical damage. It is flexible and flame retardant, with a shrink ratio of 50% or more in the radial direction and 10% or less in the axial direction. The tubing can withstand continuous operating temperatures ranging from -75°C (-103°F) to 120°C (248°F) 1. It is also resistant to aviation and diesel fuels, hydraulic fluids, and lubrication oil.
